According to the new analysis by Brand Finance, Reliance Jio has emerged as the world’s fifth strongest brand In India. This places the likes of Apple, Amazon, Disney, Pepsi, Nike, Lego, Tencent, Alibaba and HDFC Bank ahead of Jio, to name a couple.
China’s WeChat tops the Brand Finance Global 500 list that pegs the world’s most influential brands, led by well-known automobile brand Ferrari, Russian banking and financial services firm Sber, Coca Cola and Reliance Jio in the fifth position. Deloitte, Lego, Amazon, Disney and EY are the remaining ten of the world’s strongest brands.
According to Jio, relative to its telecom rivals in India, the brand ranks best in all metrics – consideration transfer, popularity, recommendation, word of mouth, creativity, customer support and value for money.
In 2016, Jio introduced telecom services and has since offered customers prepaid and postpaid plans with incredibly cheap voice and 4G tariffs, triggering a big shift in the Indian telecom market.
