Reliance Jio has finally announced that the JioFiber broadband service is available across the country. Along with Jio Fiber’s connection, the company also gives the users a Jio Fiber Set Top Box that will support Live TV and OTT platforms on the big screen. The existing as well as non-existing customers of Jio Fiber can do the Jio Fiber Set Top Box registration for free.
Jio Fiber Set Top Box is an Android-based set-top box that is available for free for its paid Jiofiber subscribers.
JioFiber subscribers can now have the access to Amazon Prime Video app on its Jio Fiber set-top box. The JioFiber customers who have Gold and above broadband plans will get a Prime membership worth Rs 999 for free.
Jio Fiber customers are getting a free set-top box while the new customers can do the Jio Fiber Set Top Box registration to get the complimentary set-top box.
What is the Jio Fiber Set Top Box?
Jio Fiber set-top box is an Android-based streaming media player which is available to its broadband service subscribers. They can connect the set-top box to the TV and access the channels and OTT platforms using an HDMI connection and Ethernet cable.
The set-top box by Jio can be used to access the app and live TV channels which are far better than the conventional DTH set-top box. Jiofiver set-top box has an Ethernet port for the internet, two USB ports and a digital TV port to connect the dish antenna.
The box looks dark blue and has the Jio logo with one LED light to know whether the device is on or off.
How to do Jio Fiber Set Top Box Registration?
If you have a Jiofiber subscription then the Jio Fiber set-top box is available for free with an annual plan. The non-Jiofiber customers can subscribe to Jiofiber to get the Jio Fiber set-top box with installation.
Steps to get the Jio Fiber set-top box for free:
- Go to the MyJio app and Sign up for a plan which is available for monthly, quarterly, or annual plan.
- Do the payment and there will be a notification about the schedule for the set-top box installation.
- You can collect Jio Fiber set-top box for free from the Reliance Jio retail store.
How to Install Jio Fiber Set-top Box?
After the successful registration, Jio Fiber will provide you with the technician to install the Jio Fiber Set Top Box. You have to claim the voucher for the installation and the whole process would take around 10 minutes.
After the successful installation of the Jio Fiber, you will be able to access your TV through the Jio Fiber.

The OTT apps that come with the Jio Fiber set-top box are Hotstar, YouTube, Voot, JioSaavn, JioTV Plus, SonyLIV, and JioCinema. You can download more apps as well as games.

Along with the Jio Fiber set-top box, the customer gets complimentary OTT apps as well as loaded with live TV channels. Currently, there are limited TV channels but later more channels will be added soon.
There is no 4K content available right now on this set-top box but later it will be available in the future.
