What is a Jio 4G band?

Method 1: Lock to band 40 of the 4G network

For MediaTek processor
- Install MTK Engineering Mode
- Run app
- Select ‘MTK Settings’
- Select ‘Band Mode’
- Select the SIM slot where you have put your Jio SIM
- Select ‘LTE mode’
- Select band 40 for the best speed or band 5 for the best coverage
- Save settings & reboot the mobile to activate changes.
Note: Even though you have smartphones with these processors, these approaches can or may not work. We recommend that you try them at your own risk.
There’s a catch, though, and that’s why you shouldn’t want to lock your band up.
Although the demand for 4G rates as large as 50 Mbps is reasonable, the above solutions may or may not succeed. The odds are it won’t. More significantly, we recommend that you don’t try to lock up your LTE band.
Each computer, smartphone or otherwise, as we mentioned earlier, is designed with the ability to find the correct link for you, a band, so to speak.
The only 4G network that embraces three LTE bands for best reach and best speed is Reliance Jio.
So if you lock the LTE network on band 40, your phone won’t be able to switch to a better-covered network band. The band 40 will probably give you better speed, but when you change location, it will also be more inconsistent and your network may drop.
Similarly, you will get decent coverage if you lock the network to band 3 or band 5, but the speed might not be so good. Your phone will remain locked in Band 3 or Band 5 even if Band 40 is available in your current location.
Yeah, you have the choice to go through the entire thing again and adjust the band, but then why do you take the pain if your phone can do it automatically?

Method 2: Adjust settings for APN
